The proliferation of these electronic devices, embedded systems, digital platforms, and electromagnetic environments are accelerating digital transformation all around us. However, these also contribute to a significant increase in Electro Magnetic Interferences (EMI) and Radio Frequency Interferences (RFI) leading to disastrous consequences. 

The consequences could be intentional like the threat of electronic countermeasures (ECM), ranging from radar jamming and deception to a devastating electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack in defence and aerospace industry or unintentional where EMI and RFI leads to disruptions in communication, loss of data and potential failure of electronic equipment. Spatial Disorientation in US Airforce pilots accounted for 72 Class A mishaps, 101 deaths and 65 Aircraft lost between 1993 to 2013 due to electronic magnetic and radio frequency interferences. 

– Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) in US. 

Several studies have reported findings such as stress, headache, tiredness, anxiety, decreased learning potential, impairment in cognitive functions and poor concentration in case of exposure to microwave radiation emitted from mobile phones.
